artist founder: Ron Shelton
(HAF) is an eclectic assembly of international artists working in a wide range of materials and iconographic ideas. They are brought together in an inclusive network whose genesis came from multimedia artist Ron Shelton.
One common attribute in the body of work presented here is authenticity. For the past five years, HAF has shifted focus to the environment. HAF has developed “The Sustainable Art of Plastics” as the catalyst for the medium focus. Four HAF artists, Patrick Tagoe-Turkson, Cynthia Minet, Antonio Mena, El Salvador, and Taeyoun Kim, S. Korea, are the artist who inspired HAF to shift the focus on how plastic impacts our health through the environment we all live in.
This new HAF initiative utilizes plastic as the primary medium focus at this time. Though we still feature other mediums of work, plastic is the leading medium that HAF will work with to bring this vital information and modality to our communities and incorporate it into our daily lives.
HAF has conducted plastic weaving workshops locally and internationally, sharing its environmental message. Over 140 million tons of plastic waste disappear from the waste stream each year, making plastic a leading environmental issue. HAF believes that art can capture the viewer’s attention and lead to the intended purpose of bringing awareness to this significant environmental issue.
