Zurich is not the only city going gaga over Dada this year! During the 2016 San Francisco International Arts Festival, the artists, performers, musicians, videographers, and other creative types collectively present the imaginative results of being challenged to move beyond the Duchampian idea of ‘retinal’ art for the purpose of connecting and engaging a contemporary audience with the enduring and still relevant influence of Dada-inspired thought.
Dada Here and Now is an arts extravaganza celebrating Dada’s 100th anniversary on Thursday, May 26, at 6 pm in the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. This exhibit is presented in conjunction with the 2016 San Francisco International Arts Festival, which takes place from May 19 to Jun 5. The curators for this show are Hanna Regev and Matt Mckinley.
