HAF member Lidwina’s felting projects in this show is rendered in human hair, a little different from sheep fiber:

HAF: Lidwina, is felting human hair much different from sheep fiber?

Lidwina: it is not so different. it is felting but the material is so different that there are other possibilities and shapes to come up in the felting process. It depends if it is short or long hair. the flat ones i called hair beasts. a lot of people do not like the idea. quite interesting on the emotion side of using human hair. The bag is a kind of forbidden sensual lust of a woman. there is a red lip on it. there is a key to look up, the bag but may be to look at the secrets of a woman’ bag. Heronimus Bosch the painter from the years 1516 has a lot of meanings in his paintings, symbols. so i took symbols to.  He has painted the 7 big sins. etc.  There are several meanings in the Bag made from Human hair and wool inside.

20 March til 17 April. Lidwina has 3 works in the show: Hairbag – and 2 other 3D  human hair works.
