Artist Turay Mederic of Morocco, is currently displaying 13 pieces of work in a solo exhibition at BCK gallery, in Morocco. This show is part of an international event sponsored by Cop22, an organization that is addressing the important issue of global climate change. The show will run until November 18, 2016.
“My participation in this international event allows me to showcase my work—addressing topics of education on the environment, keeping certain animals from extinction and the art of living together,” said Turay Mederic.
Morocco is using the COP22 conference to formally launch its “Adaptation of African Agriculture” initiative. As food security becomes increasingly challenged by erratic weather patterns, the initiative proposes measures such as improved soil management, water and irrigation management, and better weather forecasting.
